Stretched On Her Grave
On September 30th I performed as part of a Sinead O’Connor tribute. The show was a benefit for Lambert House and it was a great pleasure to share the stage with so many wonderful musicians: Star Anna, Carrie Akre, Kathy Moore, Brittany Davis, Billie Bloom and Leeni, to name a few.
I saw quite a few familiar faces there, including my friend Dana from Three Imaginary Girls. She wrote a nice piece about the show; it's up on Medium which is a subscription site but well worth it IMO. Lots of video clips as well.
Sinead was a remarkable artist. As a singer she simultaneously embodied the poles of strength and vulnerability with every note—truly amazing and nearly impossible. Playing her music was an honor, and the world will miss her voice and artistry.
